Shortness of our dog Sooty's legs and depth of snow at higher altitudes meant that this walk had to be a relatively low-level one (well, that was my excuse!). However, even in the less than ideal weather, this was still an excellent outing on this very scenically-located fell near Ambleside.(Highest point (Loughrigg): 1099 ft./335 m. Distance: 6.2 miles/ 9.97 km. Ascent:1703 ft./ 519 m.)[Note: to download any of the photos (1920 x 1440 size), just click on them.]FURTHER INFORMATIONFor further details of this walk, see the following:Richards, M.
