Another of Paul Buttle’s “The Twelve Best Walks in the Lake District” (cf. his High Street and Fairfield Round walks), the ascent was from Seathwaite, via Sty Head and the Corridor Route, and then down again via Esk Hause and Grains Gill. In this way, there were great and constantly changing views of the neighbouring fells, far and wide, especially to the west (e.g., the Gables) and north (Borrowdale). Distance: 8 miles/12.9 km; height: 3,100 ft./945m.
