A walk in the Lake District is rarely ever the same when repeated, especially if at a different time of the year and in the opposite direction. So it was with this walk (see the earlier one above). Ascent was from Tilberthwaite, but in clockwise direction, from the south, up Furness Fells. Descent via Wetherlam Edge, dropping back down at Birk Fell Hawse. Great views near the summit of the rest of the Coniston massif and Great and Little Langdale in particular. (Distance: 5.48 miles, ascent: 2265 ft.)
