A Pike o' Blisco Round

This walk made use of the 675 feet or so height advantage gained by starting off from the NT car park at Blea Tarn, about half way between Great and Little Langdale. Although the ascent was nevertheless rather an unremitting slog, it was amply rewarded by continuous wonderful views of all the other main Great Langdale peaks. Descent was down Wrynose Beck, with fine views (albeit into the sun) towards Great Carrs, Swirl How and Wetherlam. Then, after a short stretch of road, back along a path leading eventually to the rear of the woods at Blea Tarn. (Distance: 4.6 miles, ascent: 1900 ft.)
