Crinkle Crags

Another great walk in the current lengthy spell of dry, cold, clear weather! Crinkle Crags provides an excellent cliff-top “roller-coaster”, up and down its five main rocky peaks overhanging the south-western fork of the end of Great Langdale. Great views of Pike o’ Stickle and the other Langdale Pikes, Pike o’ Blisco, the Scafells, Bow Fell and down the length of Great Langdale itself. The ascent was via Red Tarn and the descent via the Band. (Distance: 6.74 miles, ascent: 2843 ft.)
