Sierra Leone 1969 - 1973

Sierra Leone was my first overseas teaching job. I went there under the auspices of Voluntary Services Overseas, and was lucky enough to be posted to the town of Kabala. This location suited me well partly because of its mountainous surroundings and also because of the excellent career development opportunities the job provided - it gave me my first taste of a life-time interest in the teaching of English as foreign language. In addition, I made a number of very good friends, and, most important of all, it was where I met my wife Mary!

Below are links to photo galleries of some of my photos from my time in Sierra Leone from 1969 to 1973.
